In manufacturing, accurate time is easy to overlook until you are trying to understand exactly what happened during a production event. As AI tools become more common in operational environments, inconsistent time across machines, controllers, and business systems can make otherwise useful data difficult to trust. When a quality issue or equipment failure needs to be inspected, timestamps are a part of the evidence. I have seen how much time can be lost when the data tells the right story but the sequence of events cannot be established with confidence.
